What is Resurfacing?
Resurfacing is an affordable, versatile and low-maintenance way to update your home.
When resurfacing, a durable epoxy coating is applied to surfaces that have become worn out, scratched, or that otherwise need updating.
Though you could replace items at greater cost or cover them up with liners which can leak, resurfaced areas are:
- watertight
- easy to clean
- long-lasting

What’s Our Process?
Step 1: Site Preparation
The first step in how to resurface a bathtub is site preparation. The surrounding walls, floors, sink, toilet and windows need to be protected.
Step 2: Damage Repair
The second step in how to refinish a bathtub is repairing damage. Your tub may be chipped, pitted, cracked, rusted or even burned. Chips are filled in with special putty, as are pits in the floor. Rust needs to be cleaned out. Burns are sanded down, and then filled in.
Step 3: Etching
The third step achieves a surface that coatings will adhere to. If this isn’t done correctly, using top-grade materials, the final coating may very well peel in the near future requiring complete rework. ResurfacingPro refinishers have the knowledge and skills to get this done right.
Step 4: Apply Finish Coat
The final step in how to resurface a bathtub is applying a final coating. This drip-free, evenly coated surface lasts for years.
Included in this last step is a detailed cleanup of your resurfaced items and our work area, leaving you with a pleasant environment to enjoy your completed refinishing project.
